Overview
Buraidah is the principal city of the Qassim region in Najd, central Saudi Arabia. It grew as a station on caravan and pilgrimage routes across Najd and as a market town for the surrounding agricultural oases.
Today
It is known for its date markets — among the largest in the country — and as the administrative centre of Qassim, alongside its sister city Unaizah.
