- Region
- UAE interior toward the Empty Quarter
Overview
Al-Manāṣīr are recorded in the interior of the United Arab Emirates and the desert country running toward the Rubʿ al-Khālī, with a range extending into neighbouring territory. Like most tribes of that country their movement followed water and pasture rather than any boundary.
On lineage
Branch lists and affiliations here are given as reported by the classical genealogists, who themselves disagree. Nothing on this page establishes any living family's descent: a shared name may reflect descent, alliance (ḥilf) or clientage (walāʾ), and the sources usually say which only when they know.
